Asian-Pacific Law & Policy Journal

一年两期,估计速度比较慢。

The APLPJ is a web-based, American legal journal covering issues in Asia and the Pacific Rim. Our objectives are to disseminate legal research by law professors, legal practitioners, social scientists, economists, and students; to increase awareness of legal issues impacting the region; and to provide a forum to discuss legal topics that fall within the Journal's geographic scope. In addition to the web format, the journal is available through the legal databases LexisNexis and Westlaw. We invite authors to submit original manuscripts for consideration. Comments and suggestions are always welcome. Please address your comments to aplpj@hawaii.edu.

Scope
APLPJ publishes articles, translations, book reviews, essays, case notes, and comments on current topics in comparative and transnational law focused on one or more of the following countries or geographic entities: Australia, Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, China (including Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macau Special Administrative Region)...

Submissions Requirements
APLPJ welcomes submissions of unsolicited, unpublished manuscripts within our scope as described above. We give preference to submissions under 25,000 words in length including text and footnotes. APLPJ will not publish articles exceeding 35,000 words except in extraordinary circumstances. Manuscripts must be of generally publishable quality in English language grammar and usage, although selective use of foreign terms is permissible where appropriate. Submissions must reasonably comply with the latest edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation and provide attribution for all sources, whether legal or factual, outside the author’s own reasoning process.

Submissions Process
APLPJ accepts submissions on an ongoing basis. Submissions received by March 31 have priority consideration for fall publication. Submissions received by October 31 have priority for spring publication. APLPJ queues submissions received after March 31 until the editorial staff resumes its activities in mid-August. Manuscripts selected for publication, but submitted after a priority filing date may be held for possible publication in a future issue. Electronic submission is required. Microsoft Word format is preferred. All manuscripts must be sent as an attachment to e-mail addressed to: aplpjart@hawaii.edu.

Selection Process
APLPJ carefully reviews and considers all submissions that it receives. Our selection process includes several stages. The process outlined below is representative.
1.At least three editors initially review each submission.
2.Our Publication Committee then votes on candidates for publication.
3.APLPJ will notify all submitters whether or not they have been selected for potential publication. As a matter of policy we do not discuss the reasons for our publication decisions.
4.Authors invited to publish next execute a Publication Agreement with the journal.
5.An editorial team is assigned to each article. The editorial team works with the author to prepare the submission for publication.
6.Authors of submissions nominated for publication may be required to e-mail electronic versions of all source materials to APLPJ. Adobe PDF format is preferred.
